7 chakras and Maslow's hierarchy of needs

Maslow's hierarchy of needs was proposed by Abraham Maslow in 1943 describing the stages of growth in humans. This is used in management science and psychology. The same with far more advanced development stages has been proposed way back in  11th century AD as 7 Chakras . The relation between the two theories are depicted in the below diagram.

  1. The 7 chakras are deeper than Maslow's pyramid. It is not just the classification of needs (as Maslow does) but the representation of these chakras as something that goes beyond this and they have physical locations in our body. Also how does one feel the "need" for inner wisdom?

I knew of both these concepts before, but putting them together is genius :)

  2. Fantastic post, and I agree with Amber, it's great to parallel these two things.

As well, there are so many similarities and links between different models: chakras, maslows, musical scales, emotional scales, color spectrums, language use and more.
